If you’re considering therapy, you may be at a point where something in your life feels difficult, uncertain, or simply not quite like you. Maybe you’re navigating a major life change, struggling with your confidence, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, or trying to better understand yourself and your relationships. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.
My goal is to create a space where you can genuinely be yourself. I’m a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth therapist, and I believe that feeling comfortable and understood is an important part of doing meaningful work together. I especially enjoy working with adults who are navigating life transitions, self-esteem and confidence, LGBTQIA+ identity and experiences, and women’s mental health. I also support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and relationship challenges.
My background as a school-based SAC has given me a particular appreciation for how much we can learn about ourselves while navigating change, relationships, identity, and the expectations we place on ourselves. In therapy, we can slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and work toward feeling more confident in who you are and how you want to move forward.
You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before reaching out. We’ll start where you are, at your pace, and work together to help you feel more understood, more grounded, and more like yourself.
I provide telehealth therapy across New Jersey.
Therapy with me is a place where you can say the things you may not feel comfortable saying anywhere else. You can come in and say, “I know I’m overthinking this, but I can’t stop,” or “I keep ending up in the same situation and I don’t know why.” You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. We’ll figure it out together.
Maybe you’re constantly second-guessing yourself, putting everyone else first, or being much harder on yourself than you would ever be toward someone you love. Maybe you keep falling into the same patterns, shutting down when things feel overwhelming, or struggling to set boundaries. We’ll slow those moments down and look at what’s happening beneath the surface, including the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck.
I’m compassionate, but I’m also honest. I won’t just tell you what you want to hear. If I notice a pattern that isn’t serving you or a different perspective that could help, I’ll gently challenge you while making sure you feel supported.
Most importantly, I want therapy to be useful outside of our sessions. We might work on managing anxiety, handling difficult emotions, communicating what you need, setting boundaries, or building confidence. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling understood, a little clearer, and better equipped to handle whatever comes next.
Your first session is really about getting to know each other. I’ll want to hear what brought you to therapy, what life has been feeling like lately, and what you’re hoping might change. But we won’t rush into fixing everything right away.
I know that opening up to someone new can feel a little uncomfortable, so our first few sessions are often more conversational. We’ll talk, get a feel for each other, and give you space to share what feels important to you. You don’t need to come in with a perfectly organized story or know exactly what you want to work on.
As we get more comfortable, we’ll start noticing patterns, exploring what may be keeping you stuck, and figuring out what would actually be helpful for you. I’ll always want your input along the way. Therapy should feel like something we’re doing together, not something being done to you.
Most importantly, I want you to feel like you can be yourself with me. Building trust takes time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
